Here is the latest FIFA Ranking in 2017 for men. The world’s football governing council, FIFA have the sole responsibility of publishing the FIFA world ranking table every four years for member national teams. The ranking system is based on their game results of all FIFA-recognised international matches with the most successful teams being ranked highest.

Since its introduction in December 1992, Brazil have ranked highest for many years and Argentina, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain have been among the top 10 teams. Currently, rankings are based on a team’s performance over the last four years, with more recent results and more significant matches being more heavily weighted to help reflect the current competitive state of a team.
